Over the years, Samcrete has come to recognize the importance of questioning, questioning the way it approaches work and the manner it achieves its goals and growth. Samcrete's management realized that by pooling the experience and knowledge of people from varied disciplines and specializations will always result in ingenious and satisfactory solutions to questions, thus, paving the road for growth and development.

Samcrete started in 1963 as a small sized contractor specializing in pavement works and concrete landscape products. Small, but with a vision "Start Small but Think Big". This is what made us able to face all the challenges, overcome all the obstacles and grow locally during a period when most people sought better opportunities in working abroad.

Samcrete's growth and commitment over the years have put it among the top private contracting firms in Egypt with a turnover that doubles every three years. Its growth is not only limited to numbers, but also extends its services to cover and excel in several domains such as roads, airports, water and sewage networks, heavy civil works, water treatment and power plants, housing, education, health and other public buildings, hotels, renovation and internal decoration, as well as landscaping.

Samcrete's course of success has been in line with the general economic growth and development of the country. It started with building military airports and fortifications, roads and bridges during the sixties.
In the seventies with the open door policy, we participated in rebuilding Egypt's infrastructure. To name few projects, Kafr El Zyat – Damanhour highwy, the infrastructure of the new urban communities and Damieta Dam.

During the eighties and nineties, Samcrete also played a pivotal role in Egypt's economic growth. Said period witnessed our involvement in the development of major national projects, such as Greater Cairo Sewage Project and the new urban communities. Samcrete was also able to transfer know-how and technology through its joint venture projects, such as Water Treatment Plants in Kafr El Dawar and Nubaria, Dar Al Fouad hospital and Abou El Gharadik Airport and Camp facilities.

Samcrete's role is not limited to contracting it extends to cover the market with building materials, through its fully integrated Samcrete building systems, as well as the development of distinguished real estate projects.

Samcrete's role also includes the provision of construction management services through Costain - Samcrete Project Management, a joint venture company in partnership with Costain of the UK, the conduit for the transfer of international technology and know-how in project management and contracting.

In conclusion, Samcrete, through its detailed process and the constant pursuit of excellence, allows us to contribute to the growth, development and well being of our nation.
